Quinns Rocks: man accused of kicking his mother faces court

A MAN is due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday accused of the grievous bodily harm of his mother in Quinns Rocks.

The 33-year-old man allegedly kicked his 55-year-old mother in the chest at a Santa Barbara Parade property on February 27.

Police said the woman was taken to Joondalup Health Campus in a serious condition with a collapsed lung.

Officers also charged the alleged offender over the serious assault of a 23-year-old man earlier that day.

The victim was treated in Royal Perth Hospital for a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.

The man was charged with threats to kill and two counts of aggravated grievous bodily harm.

He was remanded in custody in Joondalup Magistrates Court on February 28 and is due to reappear on April 7.
