Quinns Rocks man due in court on drug and weapons charges

A QUINNS Rocks man (28) is due to face Perth Magistrates Court on drug and weapons charges tomorrow.

Joondalup Detectives charged the man after executing a misuse of drugs search warrant at a Buffett Ramble house on Friday, where they allegedly found about 19g of methylamphetamine.

During the November 10 search police also allegedly found more than $23,000 cash, a taser, a knuckle duster and various prescription medications, including steroids.

Detectives charged the man with four counts of unlawfully possessing a controlled or prescription drug and one each of possessing a prohibited drug and drug paraphernalia.

His charges also include three counts of failing to comply with police, two counts of prohibited weapon possession, and one of possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property.

The man appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday and is due to reappear there on November 14.
