Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

PUBLIC comment periods for four applications to allow short stay accommodation at Quinns Rocks properties close next week.

City of Wanneroo has invited submissions until May 18 on the applications for 41 Mindarie Drive, 105 Tapping Way, 36 Weymouth Boulevard and 126 Santa Barbara Parade.

Each application seeks approval to use an existing house for short-term accommodation, with guests expected to stay between three days and three months at a time.

The Weymouth application seeks to have a maximum of eight guests at any one time, while the others set maximums of six guests.

All specify that no guests under 23 are permitted to stay without parental guidance and that management would not permit any parties, birthdays or social gatherings that could disrupt the community.

The applications do not propose any extension to the existing dwelling or additional building work.
