THINGS are heating up for Huw Robertson with the launch of the 2019 Perth Firefighters Calendar.

The Quinns Rocks firefighter said it was an honour to support Perth Children’s Hospital’s burns unit by taking part in the sizzling photo shoots along with 14 of his colleagues.

“I have always admired the dedication taken by families of kids with illness to just knuckle down and get on with life and make the best of their situations,” Mr October said.

“I hope by participating in the calendar fundraising we are able to assist these families through the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation with further support to make their journeys a little easier.

“I try to support a number of fundraising activities each year and decided this year to focus on training for the firefighters calendar.”

Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation chief executive Carrick Robinson said the 2019 calendar was hot off the press and now on sale.

“Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation is enormously grateful to the firies who have put their bodies on the line to raise money for children being cared for in the hospital’s burns unit,” he said.

“The long-standing partnership with Perth firefighters had been a huge success, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars over a decade to help fund cutting-edge equipment and research.”
