Ramp closed for repairs

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Yanchep Sun City issued public notices that it will be undertaking work to replace the Two Rocks ramp surface with concrete panels and extend it by about eight metres.

It said it was also repairing part of the breakwater, after storm damage in 2012.

‘To facilitate these improvement works, the boat ramp will be closed for four weeks,’ the notice said.

‘Ramp users are asked to make alternative arrangements ” the two nearest boat-launching facilities are located at Mindarie Keys and Ocean Reef.’

Commander David Haynes issued a public notice to say rescue vehicles would not be affected during the closure.

‘VHF radio coverage on channels 73 or 22 and 16 will still be available from adjoining rescue groups,’ he said.
