Remembrance in full bloom in Mindarie garden

VOLUNTEERS knitted a field of poppies for a Mindarie garden ahead of yesterday’s Remembrance Day.

Alice Branford said the knitted poppies planted in her lawn this week were made through a “community effort”.

The flowers are a symbol of the end of the Great War, commemorated every November 11 at 11am with a minute’s silence and services.
