Road safety event

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

The annual road safety and awareness event is held before the Easter long weekend at the City’s busiest intersection ” Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive ” in an effort to reduce road trauma.

Guest speaker Stacey Dunbar, whose eight-month-old son Nate died when a drunk driver crashed into his bedroom in January 2013, will speak to attendees before WA police chaplain Rev Joe Newbold says a prayer over the road.

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said every road user had a part to play to improve road safety, including keeping within the speed limit, wearing seatbelts and never using mobile phones or drink driving.
