Robbery spree, man charged

Clarkson Detectives Senior Sergeant Gary Saunders said detectives charged the man with nine counts of stealing, possession of unlawfully obtained property and possessing heroin,

‘These related to stealing offences that occurred from September this year in different areas,’ Sgt Saunders said. ‘Some of the offences related to him allegedly entering jewellery stores (in Hillarys), approaching the counter and asking the attendants to see expensive jewellery.

‘One of the gold chains is worth $4000 ” when the employees have pulled it out of the counter to show him, he has (allegedly) grabbed it and run from the store.

‘He then did the same thing at the Good Guys in Osborne Park, where he asked to see two Apple iPads that were secured in a cage.

‘Once they were removed to show him, he fled.

‘He did the same thing at Sik Hobbies where he (allegedly) stole an Intruder cam quad helicopter.

‘All the rest were allegedly stealing from liquor stores.’

Sgt Saunders said detectives searched the man’s house in Clarkson on October 30 andallegedly found stolen number plates and heroin.

Warwick Detectives also charged him in relation to similar stealing offences.
