Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Clarkson Senior Sergeant Mal Jones said the regional investigations unit arrested and charged the teenager on June 3 in relation to the early morning incident the previous Friday.

The offence occurred about 3.05am, when a male armed with a knife demanded money from the till at the store on the corner of Anchorage Drive and Marmion Avenue. ‘He was handed money, then demanded the car keys,’ Sgt Jones said.

‘He stole cash, and the victim’s wallet with all his normal stuff inside, a couple of telephones, several pairs of sunglasses and a motor vehicle owned by the attendant, which has since been recovered.
