DOGS can have their choice of treats at a weekly market starting in Two Rocks this weekend.

Empires Events and Markets is launching the Sandy Paws – A Dog’s Day Out on Sunday, sponsored by developers of a local housing estate.

The free community event at Leeman’s Landing, Two Rocks dog beach, will be held every Sunday morning between 8am-11am for six weeks, starting February 5.

The Reef sales manager Dane Rawlings said a range of dog-specific stalls would offer various canine services, including $10 dog washes.

“We want to provide the community with a fun-filled event that really showcases the natural beauty that Two Rocks has to offer,” he said.

Mr Rawlings said Sandy Paws reflected the laid-back lifestyle on offer in the area and the close-knit nature of the community.

“A morning walk along the beach with your dog is one of the highlights of living so close to the ocean,” he said.

“Sandy Paws will bring the community together where they can socialise with other dog owners.

“Each week we’ve got a different line-up – most are local businesses.

“Different community groups will be selling fresh barbecued bacon and egg burgers to raise funds.” A range of market stalls will sell dog treats and products, including collars, leads and dog toys. There will also be coffee, juice and ice cream for sale.
