SANTA will pose for photos at Mindarie Marina for gold coin donations to help raise funds for the Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group this month.

The marina will step up holiday season celebrations with its annual Christmas Festival on December 17 from noon to 5pm.

Organiser Kara Wood said there would be more than 30 artisan market stalls on the boardwalk for people to do their Christmas shopping, as well as street food stalls and cooking stations.

Entertainment at the free event will include carollers, Santa’s elves, Miss Christmas Pudding and bands on two stages.

The kids zone will operate from noon to 4pm with jumping castle, slam dunk inflatable, body marbling, a balloon twister and other activities.

Santa is expected to arrive about 3pm.

There will also be New Year’s Eve fireworks at the marina for the first time in nine years.
