SAT appeal lodged for Metro North-West DAP decision on Clarkson McDonald’s restaurant

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

MCDONALD’S is appealing a Metro North-West Development Assessment Panel decision on its $2.2 million fast food outlet in Clarkson.

The panel gave conditional approval for Planning Solutions’ application for the restaurant on the corner of Caloundra Road and Maroochydore Way, near Bunnings, on January 16.

The applicant had proposed a 24-hour drive-through store, but presiding member Karen Hyde moved an extra condition to restricting opening hours to between 6am and 10pm, seven days a week in response to residents’ concerns.
