WORKS to protect Seabird from erosion are waiting design approval and funding.
The Shire of Gingin released a statement this month that it had completed detailed designs, with a seawall the preferred option.
“The Shire called tenders for construction of the seawall in February, with civil engineering contractor Neo Infrastructure the successful tenderer,” President David Roe said.
Cr Roe said the Shire was negotiating a start date with the contractor.
“As this project has been funded by the State Government, the Shire is awaiting its approval of the design and to release funds,’ he said.
