Second push for store

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

The application for Butler Specialty Cellars was advertised late last year, and an amendment to include a drive-through facility was advertised by the City of Wanneroo.

But, due to apparent confusion over the City's adverts calling it an "existing" liquor store, submissions complained that most people would not have realised it had not been approved and so not lodged objections.

In a letter to Quinns Rocks resident Nat Sangalli, Racing and Gaming Minister Colin Holt said the department would readvertise it "in view of confusion within the community around this application, some of which may have been caused by the applicant and some by the City of Wanneroo."

The proposed store would be located in the Lukin Centre on the corner of Lukin Drive and Connolly Drive.

Objections can be lodged until June 4. For more information visit www.rgl.wa.gov.au.
