SHIRE of Narrogin chief executive Aaron Cook will take up the top job at the Shire of Gingin in June.

The Gingin council held a special meeting on Tuesday to appoint Mr Cook as replacement for Jeremy Edwards, who is moving to the Shire of East Pilbara this month.

A Shire statement said Mr Cook had more than 25 years of country and metropolitan local government experience, was currently chief executive at the Shire of Narrogin and prior to that was the Shire of Gnowangerup’s chief executive.
