Site was ‘poorly lit’

Two Rocks Yanchep Residents Association (TRYRA) president Peter Wimsett said he was pleased to see the freshly painted white dotted line and cats eyes on Lefroy Road where it meets Kaiber Avenue.

The group lobbied the City of Wanneroo and Main Roads WA for several months to put a ‘Give way’ sign at the junction.

Secretary Lorraine Jackson said a Main Roads representative had recently written to the group after visiting the site and found it was poorly lit.

She said previous letters from Main Roads indicated that local roads with 50km/h speed limits did not require give way signs.

The next TRYRA meeting is at Capricorn Community House in Yanchep at 7.30pm on September 22.
