Skippers asked to contribute to survey

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

The Australian Boater Survey requires skippers to record their boating activities and views on marine issues in a monthly online diary for a year.

Department of Transport coastal infrastructure executive director Steve Jenkins said the survey would be valuable in monitoring skippers’ attitudes and knowledge of safety issues to plan effective education campaigns.

‘The information will also assist DoT to understand and meet the needs of boat owners through infrastructure planning and delivery,’ he said.
