Snag a tasty treat to support firefighters

Volunteers will operate barbecues outside hardware stores in Edgewater, Hillarys and Clarkson this Sunday to raise funds for Wanneroo, Quinns Rocks and Two Rocks volunteer bush fire brigades.

‘Bunnings will be holding a sausage sizzle to raise money for volunteer fire brigades and their staff are volunteering their time,’ Wanneroo’s chief bush fire control officer Phil Hay said.

Bunnings Warehouse Mindarie complex manager Peter Kingwell said it was a great way for the local community to show their appreciation for volunteer fire services.

‘Australia Day is the perfect time to get together with neighbours, family and friends and enjoy a classic Aussie sausage sizzle, as well as supporting our volunteers,’ he said.
