The City of Wanneroo’s conservation team will hold several outdoor events from September to November, and host a Great Gardens waterwise seminar with presenters from the Beyond Gardens team.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the activities were for all residents, and the environment was a concern in the rapidly growing area, as suburbs rose from the sand dunes.

‘We have one of the best environments in the world in Wanneroo with bush, wetlands and coast,’ she said.

‘When we look at new developments, we see that they are being managed in an environmentally sensitive way.’
