ABOUT 600 people attended a kite festival in Alkimos on the first day of spring.
The sky over Waterfront Park in Alkimos filled with kite displays and handmade kites over four hours on September 1 at the Shore Things event.
Ribbon dancers from The Academy of Gymnastics in Butler also provided entertainment and there were lolly drops as well as food trucks and food for sale at The Shore Cafe.
