THE Northern Suburbs Stroke Support Group visited Yanchep Inn to plant native shrubs in garden beds last month.
Coordinator Sally Allen said it was an act of appreciation to the staff for their exceptional care and attention to the needs of disabled clients.
She said the project illustrated that there was life after stroke and that new challenges were achievable.
Everyone had a task to do and most also painted terracotta pots with beautiful Aboriginal designs for an extra touch.
The City of Wanneroo provided a grant to the group to go towards the respite break.
The support group welcomes new members at the meeting held at 3pm at the Wanneroo Recreation Centre, Scenic Drive on the second Friday of each month.
