Students creating a greener future

Principal Alan Curtis said staff member Lorraine Jackson organised a series of activities at the school earlier this month to engage students in discussions about the environment.

They included writing poems and drawing posters for the World Environment Day theme of Raise your voices, not the sea level.

He said students from kindergarten to Year 6 received plants, which were donated by Yanchep National Park, Masters in Butler and Bunnings in Clarkson.

‘We’ve just received another 60 plants from Yanchep National Park (for our) Noongar bush food garden,’ he said.

‘We will be setting that up between now and early into next term.’
