Students join soup patrol

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Year 11 students Teneal Garrett and Amy Norman were the first students to take part in the program, serving soup and bread at four city stops.

Christian service co-ordinator Karen Wilson said the school would do the run once a month, taking two students out each time. ‘This is a service the college has been working towards for 12 months and we are extremely happy to be able to serve people in our community,’ she said.

The patrol serves free meals to people who are homeless, on low incomes or socially marginalised.
