Students praised for community spirit

The group of 18 students from Enactus ECU, part of an international student organisation that develops community projects, established Net University, which ran training workshops for more than 174 seniors around Joondalup.

Their efforts saw the team named runners-up at the recent Enactus National Conference and Championships in Melbourne and winner of the Spirit of Enactus award for the most passionate team.

Faculty adviser Janet Simmons was also named best in her field.

Enactus ECU president Kym Arnold said several members received job offers at the event.

"The organisations we're working with are great for building relationships and some of our students get great references from the people we work with and others even get job offers," she said.
