Yanchep Beach Primary School hosted a National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence event on March 18.

Teacher Shahid Jefcoate said all students created flags in the school colours and wrote anti-bullying messages on the back.

“This initiative has been driven by our student leadership team strengthening ties with our school community,” he said.

“Every class has scribed and drawn their own anti-bullying message and we will be displaying their designs as flags around the school.

“The student leadership team has also created an anti-bullying video.”

The sixth National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence has been Australia’s key anti-bullying event for schools and encourages all students to take a stand together against bullying and violence in schools, the classroom and beyond.
