The Mindarie Rotary Swap Mart started as a monthly event in a covered car park at Ocean Keys shopping centre, with about 50 sellers and hundreds of buyers turning up to each Sunday event.

‘It has raised close to $5000 for our clubs’ local initiatives ” including youth and cultural programs ” and is a special part of the community with something for everyone,’ Mindarie Rotary Club president Darren Meakins said.

‘All of the proceeds go to charity and we’re proud to be a part of that.’

Mr Meakins said the club was grateful its hosts had allowed it to start fortnightly swap marts, with the next one this Sunday, July 6.

Sellers can set up in $10 bays in the car park on Pensacola Terrace from 6.45am and buyers can enter for a gold coin donation from 7.30am.
