‘A sly male had false number plates on his vehicle when he pulled up to a northern suburbs service station and did a fuel drive-off,’ Senior Constable Travis Walsh said.
‘He filled up with $10 of unleaded before jumping back into his vehicle and speeding off from the site, making no attempt to pay for the fuel.’
He said the offence occurred about 3pm on March 11, and the number plates, 9 FC 466, were registered to a red Holden Barina, not the blue Toyota Seca hatchback the man was driving.
The man police wish to speak to was described as being fair skinned, in his late 20s to early 30s with short dark hair.
