Mr Winn raised the money through friends and families support when he did the True Grit Military Inspired Obstacle Challenge on the WA Day long weekend.

He said he was inspired to do something for children with cancer after reading about a boy born with a brain tumour.

‘I’ve just had a son myself ” my little boy is eight months,’ he said.

On June 9, Mr Winn visited a Toys’R’Us store, where he bought four-and-a-half trolleys full of toys worth about $2000 to take to the hospital.
