Tourism Network to launch Atlantis Music and Market event

THE Yanchep Two Rocks Tourism Network will launch an event in Two Rocks this month.

Held under the watchful eye of King Neptune, the Atlantis Music and Market event will take over the Two Rocks town centre on Sunday, March 12 from 3 to 7pm.

Tourism Network president John Young said the organisation wants to encourage tourists to go to Two Rocks to see what the area had to offer.

“It’s an opportunity for people to come up and have a look,” he said.

“All the businesses are involved – they will be able to try out the food and have a look at the local shops.”

Mr Young said there would be two bands performing plus buskers, about 50 market stalls and a bouncy castle.

Atlantis Beach project director Jarrod Rendell said: “A range of local community groups will also have their own stalls at the markets including Sun City Yacht Club, Sun City Artists Gallery, Two Rocks Fire Brigade and Atlantis Beach Baptist College.

“Live entertainment will be provided by two bands that will be playing popular live music by legends such as Fleetwood Mac, Blondie and Santana.

Other family entertainment organised for the event includes face painting, stilt walkers, and roaming children’s characters.

Mr Young said dining venues would be serving normal meals as well as street food on the day.

He said about 900 people attended the pre-Christmas event, and they expected thousands to attend this one.
