Trains cancelled between Butler and Clarkson for a second successive Saturday

TRAINS are cancelled between Butler and Clarkson stations for the second consecutive Saturday.

Maintenance work will force the closure of the rail line between the stations on Saturday from 7.15am and 7pm.

There was another all day closure on Saturday, October 7 and Transperth spokesman David Hynes said last week it aimed to do routine maintenance on weekends or at night.

He said crews were working on overhead line equipment and it was done during the day because it was noisy.

The last full line service will leave Perth at 6am and Butler at 6.56am and resume at 6.38pm from Perth and 7.26pm from Butler.

Replacement buses will run while trains are cancelled.
