Into its 22nd year, Year 12 Perspectives 2013 features 56 works by graduating Year 12 visual art students from across WA.

AGWA director Stefano Carboni said the works explored a breadth of themes such as personal identity, concern for the environment and society, and the journey to adulthood.

‘Visitors will encounter a mix of vibrant and reflective work that depicts and reimagines our world through young, contemporary perspectives,’ Mr Carboni said.

Visitors to the gallery will be able to vote for their favourite piece in the Santos Year 12 Perspectives people’s choice award.

Voting will close on April 27, and artworks will be included in an online gallery, artgallery.wa.gov.au/exhibitions/Year-12-Perspectives-2013.asp
