TRYCAN to host open days ahead of Mary Lindsay Homestead redevelopment grand opening

ARTISTS will give demonstrations and sell their work during an open weekend at Yanchep’s Mary Lindsay Homestead this month.

The Two Rocks Yanchep Culture and Arts Network (TRYCAN) will hold open days on August 18 and 19 ahead of the redeveloped building’s grand opening in September.

On September 14, members and the City of Wanneroo will place a time capsule containing pieces from members in the hearth in the gallery.

The main open weekend for the heritage building will take place on September 15 and 16, where members will sell their creations, and there will be zentangle, charcoal and portrait drawing, polymer clay and calligraphy demonstrations.

TRYCAN will hold its AGM on September 26 from 3pm.

Upcoming workshops include ‘Pictures on polymer’ with Pam Annesley on August 11 from 10am to 1pm and watercolour classes with Renata Wright on August 12.

Calligraphy classes will start soon.
