Twilight Eats @ Eden to replace Local Farmers Market in Jindalee

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

A MONTHLY series of evening events will replace The Local Farmers Market in Jindalee next month.

The markets had been held at Eden Beach estate for the past three years, but this year developer Satterley will sponsor the Twilight Eats @ Eden instead, starting on February 3.

“After sponsoring the farmers markets for almost three years we are taking on board comments from the community and are incredibly excited to bring a new, exciting event to Eden Beach,” community development coordinator Lyndsey Stoney said.

The same team will run the events on the first Saturday of every month from 4pm to 8pm, creating a hawker-style market centred on food stalls with some variety stalls and entertainment.

Organiser Pieta Esplin said they had heard the community was “craving something new and exciting”.

“There are a lot of retail centres in the area now, which offer shoppers a lot of choice,” she said.

Twilight Eats will take place at the foreshore park on Reflection Boulevard and will not run in winter.
