Two Rocks: Atlantis Beach Baptist College offer scholarship for Year 7 students in 2019

A TWO Rocks school has introduced a Year 7 scholarship program, offering half price tuition for four years of school.

Atlantis Beach Baptist College has invited families to apply for its inaugural Year 7 scholarships for 2019, which will give three new students awarded the scholarship a 50 per cent reduction in tuition fees for four years.

“The three Year 7 scholarships are very different from scholarships offered by other educational institutions because they are not based on academic ability but rather the character of the applicant,” principal Gary Harris said.

“Character building is a key part of the educational focus – we want our students to leave our college not only with a high level of academic achievement, but also with a sound character based on Christian values.

Mr Harris said the three scholarships were based on the school’s motto, ‘Strength, Faith and Honour’ and applicants had to demonstrate one of those traits.
