Two Rocks families connect with staff ahead of Atlantis Beach Baptist College opening

Laura PondNorth Coast Times

TWO Rocks families met staff and teachers ahead of the opening of the suburb’s first high school next year.

Atlantis Beach Baptist College held an open day earlier this month, where parents picked up uniforms and booklists, met with staff and enjoyed morning tea together.

The college will cater to students from pre-kindergarten to Year 9 when it opens in February and expand to encompass year 12 students by 2020.

Principal Gary Harris said the day attracted a large number of families throughout the area.

“At the Atlantis Connect event, registered families were able to meet our wonderful foundation staff who are collectively very excited to be part of this new college,” he said.

“We also received an enthusiastic response from families who had not yet registered but now plan to do so after meeting our new staff and learning about the excellent educational services the college will provide local students.”

“This will be a major educational asset for the local community with the college growing alongside the Atlantis Beach estate, as well as the existing Two Rocks community.”

The Breakwater Drive school is accepting enrolments for next year.
