Two Rocks park plan out for consultation

Staff WriterNorth Coast Times

PLANS to reduce public open space in Two Rocks to a dry park a third of the size are out for public comment.

The City of Wanneroo has invited submissions until April 26 on a structure plan change for the proposed park on Oregano Drive near Breakwater Drive.

The 2011 structure plan included a 4.76ha public open space, but the change would reduce it to a 1.76ha dry park with remaining land subdivided into residential lots.

The Breakwater Estate developer originally planned to create six residential lots on the park site but scaled that back to four lots and a dry park early last year following community backlash.

A report was withdrawn from the February 2018 council meeting agenda to allow the City to organise a community meeting.
