OUTCOMES of consultation on a $3.89 million upgrade of Charnwood Park in Two Rocks have been presented to Wanneroo Council this month.
This week’s council briefing agenda included a report seeking the council’s approval at the Augsut 21 meeting for the master plan and summary of community consultation.
The proposed upgrades include resurfacing the basketball court, concrete paths, floodlights and landscaping in the first stages.

READ NOWThe third stage could include extra parking, nature play elements in the playground, exercise nodes and installation of shelter, seating and a barbecue.
The fourth stage proposed demolition of the toilet block and construction of replacement facilities, as well as changerooms.
Later work could include seating and shelters at the skate park and paths to it, replacing the bike track with a pump track and a potential fencing dog area.
Questions about the master plan’s progress arose at the Two Rocks Yanchep Residents Association (TRYRA) meeting last month.
Ed Whitchurch also asked whether the longer time span for Water Corporation to build a below-ground wastewater treatment pump station on the south west corner would affect the City’s plans to redevelop the park.
“It’s now much longer than was originally anticipated,” he said.
According to the council report, the redevelopment will take place over up to six stages and timing will depend on funding in the City’s long term financial plan.
TRYRA members also discussed sand drift, the impact of heavy machinery doing earthworks on buildings nearby and how to report potholes at the July 23 meeting.
The next meeting will be on Monday, August 27 from 7.30pm at the Y.hub on Yanchep Beach Road.
