Two Rocks PS teddy fundraiser supports Free the Bears initiative

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

TEDDY bears and cuddly toys joined children in classrooms at Two Rocks Primary School this month for a fundraiser.

Year 6 students hosted the fundraiser for the Free the Bears organisation to support sanctuaries in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam that rehabilitate rescued moon bears from cruel treatment.

The school raised $381.55 during the September 7 event to support student Tess Powell’s family, who have been involved in fundraising and volunteering for Free the Bears.
