Police want to speak to these two men who were involved in an altercation with a couple at a Butler tavern in July.

Constable Ross Hart said a casual night out with friends at a tavern turned violent for a couple when they were involved in a quarrel with two men about 11.30pm on July 18.

‘An altercation took place between the male victim and two other men at the tavern,’ he said.

‘The victim was punched to the face in the unprovoked attack before staff broke up the fight and the two men fled through the rear door of the tavern.

‘A short time later, the victim and his friends also left the tavern. ‘Soon after leaving the tavern they spotted the two males from the attack at a fast food outlet across the road.

‘The two attackers also spotted the victim and the parties clashed in the middle of the street, with the victim being punched and kicked to his head and body.’

Constable Hart said the victim’s partner tried to break up the fight, but was kicked in the body before the two men fled the area.

Police released CCTV images, describing the first man as being fair skinned, in his mid-30s, about 180cm tall, with a medium build and dark hair.

The second man was described as being fair-skinned, about the same age, with blonde hair and a medium build.
