Residents at the RAAFA Merriwa Estate recently held an ‘unbirthday’ party, inspired by Alice in Wonderland, with their hall decked out in colourful streamers, balloons and centrepieces, plus lollies and fairy bread.

‘Everyone came dressed in their party clothes and imaginative hats in hopes of winning a prize for their creativity,’ Joyce Johnson said.

‘A live band, Shindig, rattled the rafters with their musical concoctions while a photo booth kept the residents entertained ” dressing up in all manner of disguises, all took a turn of having their photo taken in these outrageous poses.’

Each guest also received a cupcake with a candle burning on top to mark their individual unbirthdays.
