Video store woman punched

Detective Senior Constable Shane Hugo from the Regional Investigations Unit said the man entered the Video Ezy store on Bergen Way about 8.50pm on Sunday, April 21.

‘The man confronted the female staff member behind the counter and when she tried to stop him, he punched her several times in the head and pushed her on to the floor,’ he said.

‘He also threatened another female staff member, claiming he had a knife, before telling her to lie on the floor.’

The offender fled the store on foot with cash.

He was described as having a dark complexion, solid build and in his 20s.

He was wearing a dark jacket, baseball cap and knee-length shorts.

The offender is also believed to have possible tattoo or markings on his lower legs, which was covered by material.
