The final lagoon plan by Roberts Day consultants follows community consultation over the past year, and the report recommends the council endorse the plan, noting work has started on a vegetation survey and foreshore management plan.

It said the City planned to establish a community working group to guide development of the lagoon precinct.

The marina report recommends the council support the draft master plan for long-term redevelopment of facilities, and commend the Transport Department for the strategic work.

Other reports on the August 20 briefing agenda relate to developer contribution plans in the Central Ward, plans for a library in Landsdale, an Alkimos bakery and a policy for community, including men’s, sheds.

The council meeting will start 7pm on August 27 following deputations. Visit www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au.
