A BUTLER man suffered bleeding on the brain after he was bashed while walking home on Friday.
A passer-by found Shane Lyons (30) unconscious and badly injured on the pavement about 7.15pm on Benenden Avenue in Butler.
The victim was last seen by work colleagues at a nearby house.
Mr Lyons underwent surgery to treat a brain bleed as well as jaw and eye socket fractures.

Officers made particular mention of the occupant of a red car, possibly a 4WD, who provided initial first aid to the victim.
