They searched the men, both aged 20, who were allegedly carrying the knives, cannabis and a large amount of cash.

The find gave the officers reason to search a Persian Street home in Eglinton, where they allegedly discovered the replica assault rifle.

Police further allege the property was holding 270g of cannabis, 21g of cocaine and four bottles of steroids.

They also seized a gas-powered handgun, money counting machine and drug paraphernalia.

Officers charged both men with possession of cocaine with intent to sell or supply, possession of steroids, possession of a controlled weapon and having ready access to weapons and illegal drugs.

One of the men was also charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply.

They due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on December 14.
