Wanneroo councillors unanimously support increase of speed limit on Connolly Dve

WANNEROO councillors unanimously supported increasing the Connolly Drive speed limit by 10km/h last week.

Cr Nat Sangalli moved the recommendation to endorse the 70km/h limit between Neerabup Road and Lukin Drive at the November 14 council meeting.

“I actually do support this speed limit increase just for the consistency of it,” she said.

She said it was difficult for drivers moving around roads with varying limits in the area. Cr Linda Aitken said “common sense” prevailed, with the increase following the widening project.

Main Roads WA is expected to implement the change within four weeks.
