Volunteer biographers spent 10 one-hour sessions with each of the 20 City of Wanneroo participants to record their stories and create a hard copy biography that included photos, artwork and other mementos.

Participants, from Yanchep and Ridgewood in the north and Landsdale and Darch in the south, and volunteers celebrated the completion of the project at Kingsway Football and Sporting Club.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the project recognised the importance of sharing social connections and stories with the community.

‘At times, residents may feel isolated due to a loss of independence that can negatively impact their wellbeing,’ she said.
