Yanchep Beach Joint Venture economic development manager Jon Kelly said the need for extra repairs was identified during the previous ramp closure, but would not prevent people from using the ramp.
‘They are at work (this week) which will last until the end of November,’ he said.
‘It’s not major in nature and very little will affect the boat ramp itself ” the boat ramp is expected to be open every day.
‘There may be some disruption of up to half an hour at a time on some days.’
Mr Kelly said most of the work would be on the beach area south of the ramp, and there would some work done on the limestone walls.
He said the marina owners had written to various clubs that use to boat ramp to inform them of the works.
Use of the boat ramp is currently free as a gesture of goodwill by the owners following the prolonged closure from last October to April.
