Christian Porter reveals new tattoo after election win

Staff WriterNorth Coast Times

PEARCE MHR Christian Porter has delivered on an election promise by getting a tattoo.

Mr Porter promised his supporters he would get a tattoo if Pearce remained in Liberal hands with an increased majority in the May Federal Election.

“It’s very important that when you make an election promise you stick to it, even if keeping it was a little more painful than you realised,” he said.

Mr Porter said it was simple choosing a design for the tattoo, which was the X-wing starfighter from Star Wars on his left ribs.

“Firstly, for Star Wars fans the X-wing is the symbol of prevailing against the adversity of what appear to be overwhelming odds,” he said.

“Secondly, I am and always will be a massive Star Wars fanboy.”

With the tattoo done, Mr Porter said he would work on delivering on commitments in his community.

“$25 million for the Ellenbrook pool, $5 million for the north Butler district open space, Ellenbrook and Yanchep rail, kick-starting work on the north coast pool, and the Mitchell Freeway extension and widening are just a few of the projects we will be working hard on,” he said.
