Yanchep Lions make donation to local bowling club

THE Yanchep Two Rocks Lions Club has thrown a donation into the mix for a bowling partnership.

The club has donated three sets of lawns bowls to the Yanchep Bowling Club for its program to teach Yanchep District High School students

Bowling convenor Andy Robertson said the program had proven successful since it started five months ago, and the Lions’ help was appreciated.

“This kind donation will extend the enjoyment of the students during the sessions we have with them,” he said.

The free program is part of a bid to bring in younger players, with students learning to play lawn bowls on the greens at Yanchep Sports and Social Club once a week.
