YANCHEP police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help with inquiries into the theft of a pink hat last month.

The incident occurred about 8pm on February 22, when a man entered a fuel station.

“He selected a pink hat from the shelf,” Constable Paul Webb said.

“The male walked around the store and concealed the item in his trousers.

“He selected another item and went to the paying counter.

“The male left the item on counter and left the store, going to a parked vehicle.

“The man re-entered the store and paid for the item previously left on the counter.

“The man leaves the store again, without paying for the pink hat.”

The man was described as being light skinned, 20-28 years old and about 183cm tall, with a tattoo on his left cheek.
